This Little Piggy…
So a long time ago my sister bought a toy school bus at a garage sale. She gave that school bus to Isaac and he loved it. As he played with it, a tiny little present fell out. It was a pig, a very small pig. At the time, Isaac was about 18 months old and we were still worried about him putting things in his mouth and choking on them. So we took the pig and put it someplace. I really don’t remember where, maybe even the trash. However, the pig would not be disposed of quite so easy…
Here is Piggy:
See, I am not kidding he is really small:
Little did we know that unlike other animals, this pig wanted to stay at our house. Quite seriously this pig won’t go away. In the begining when he would show up in a shoe or drawer we would simply try to throw him away. After a while though, when the littlest piglet began to show up on closet shelves or in the car, we started to think that the piggy was here with us for a reason. However, we realized that the pig only showed up on his terms, if we are looking for him, he will not be found. The pig has become quite the joke around our family. When one of us comes across Piggy, there is always a shout of glee, “Hey Piggy was in the silverware drawer, can you believe it?” It means it’s going to be a good day.
So tonight when I found piggy in Isaac’s sock drawer I decided I should test out the macro settings on my new camera and formalize the pig’s union with the Stone family. He is now the Stone Family Piggy.
You know that tomorrow, when I go to look for the pig…he is going to be gone right?
