Stole this from Sully’s Quote of the Day, made me LOL:

“Whoever said that after denial comes acceptance hadn’t met the Clintons.” – MoDo, today.

Hillary, honey…we need to talk. You see, this whole thing you’re doing is, well, making everyone uncomfortable. It’s time babe, to, um…step aside. There, there sweetie, it will be okay.

Humble pie

Feb 06

Well then. I am no longer allowed to make political predictions on this site.

After this debacle and yesterday’s predictions, I pretty much need to hang up my crystal ball and let the professionals do their job. However, according to Andrew Sullivan, I am in good company because a Zogby poll had Obama taking Clinton in California by 12 points!

If you are interested in a good re-cap of what happened yesterday, head over to Andrew Sullivan’s page, as it has a plethora of good info.

Ten years ago this would’ve been a non-event, today it is a total nightmare.

The Big Tease

Jan 18

Today the President is expected to announce his economic stimulus plan. That plan could include a federal tax rebate to individuals of $800 and married couples of $1600.

While I am not sure how the government can go handing out such large sums of money while we are conducting a multi-billion dollar war, I am also not sure I want to argue about a $1600 check. I mean, c’mon people, principles only go so far.

It’s like the President knows I have to pay off the expensive camera I just got. He is just tempting me to agree with this new plan. So part of me says, “no thank you Mr. President you should keep that money for the massive federal deficit.” The other, more materialistic part says, “We could really use that money…bring. it. on.” You could say I am, um, warming up to this idea.

However, I fully expect Congress to call “Shenanigan’s!” on the Prez… after I got my hopes up and everything.

Don’t you tease me Mr. President! Don’t you do it!

A great night in Iowa

Jan 04

If you haven’t listened to Obama’s speech last night, you must. It was inspiring. You can find it here.

I am still not sure who my vote goes to but I can say that I am impressed with Obama. Not because I agree with everything he says but because I believe he is still uncorrupted by the political system. Ii think he is an intellectual thinker, which would be a nice change of pace.  Also, if the international press coverage today is correct, I think he just might be what this country needs in order to give us better standing internationally.

Follow this link to read what Andrew Sullivan wrote about Obama last night. I loved it.

I am excited about this election, in a way that I haven’t been for quite some time.
